How can your old T-shirt help stop Climate Change? Today we invited Irene Portillo, an expert from our local community, to show us how to re-cycle our old t-shirts and make bags out of them! We are going to use them when we buy sweets instead of using the plastic bags in the sweet shops, to take snacks to school and as a gift for Mother's Day! It was the perfect follow up to #whomade my clothes because we learnt how to recycle our clothes and help stop climate change while at the same time we learnt how to use a sewing machine and take some time to think about the children who have to use sewing machines everyday working in the factories around the world to make our clothes...
In summary, we learnt more content knowledge and skills, language, attitudes and values to help make the world a better place! Do you like our bags? Would you like us to visit your school and help you do the same?
